John Quincy Adams, 82, of 801 N. Broom St., formerly of N. DuPont St., Wilmington, DE, died at his home on Saturday, November 4, 2000.
Mr. Adams was a welder for Pusey and Jones during World War II and also served in the Merchant Marines. John was a horse groomer at Delaware Park and for various local Wilmington families. He was a member of Saint Ann's Catholic Church.
John is survived by his brother, George A. Adams; and his sister and her husband, Mary and William J. McClafferty III, all of Wilmington.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday morning at St. Ann's Church, Gilpin Ave. & Union Sts., at 10 am. Entombment will be in Cathedral Cemetery. There will be no viewing.
