BERTHA E. AMES
EAST DORSET - Funeral services for Miss Bertha E. Ames who died here Tuesday after a long and severe illness, will be conducted in the Congregational Church Friday at 3 pm by the Rev. Glenn F. Bingham, Jr.
Miss Ames was born in East Dorset Aug 1, 1874 and lived here most of her life. She was graduated from Troy Conference Academy in 1896. A member of the East Dorset Congregational Church, she served as clerk for 30 years and was a deaconess for life. She was secretary of Mt. Aeclus Grange for 21 years.
Miss Ames is survived by a sister, Mrs. L. A. Wade of East Dorset, two nieces and a nephew.
Friends may call at the Brewster Funeral Home in Manchester Center today from 3 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm. At Miss Ames' request, donations may be made to the organ fund of the East Dorset church in lieu of flowers.
