Mr. Virginio "Gene" Correa Aguiar, Jr., 70, of Ninole, HI, died at the Hillside Care Manor in Portland, Oregon, on Monday, November 26, 2012. He was born in Laupahoehoe, HI and was the owner of American Pacific Inc. Intl. (Ampac), Agee Inc. and A&A Trucking. He founded the American Cowboy Team Roping Assoc (ACTRA) in Hawaii and served on the national board, he also co-founded the Hawaii High School Rodeo Assn., Hawaii Horse Owner's Association and was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou. Friends may call at the Dodo Mortuary chapel on Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, where a Wake Service will be held at 7:00 PM. Friends may also call at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou on Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, where a Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, followed by burial at the Homelani Memorial Park. The family requests that casual attire be worn to the services. He is survived by his: Wife, Phyllis Aguiar of Ninole, HI; Sons, Shawn (Cherice) Aguiar of Tehachapi, Calif. and Kevin (Kuuipo) Aguiar of Ninole, HI; Daughters, Linnea (Herb Botelho) Aguiar of Hilo, HI, Aletia (Matt) Brown of Scappoose, Ore. and Andrea Aguiar of Paradise Park, HI; Sister, Miriam Aguiar of Rowlett, Texas; Aunt, Agnes Lemos of San Leandro, Calif.; 19 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
