Joseph Randall Burgiss, age 51, a resident of Lake Benton, Minnesota, formally of Cleveland and Charleston passed away April 25, 2011 from a farming accident on his horse farm in Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Linnie and John Farmer and Bill Burgiss and Mary Lou Burgiss Childs; one uncle: Boyd Farmer.

Mr. Burgiss loved his companion and loved to take care of their horse farm. He also loved his family back home very much. He was veteran in the army and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Burgiss is survived by his long time companion: Judi Evers of Lake Benton, MN; mother and step father: Barbara and Danny Trentham of Cleveland; father and step mother : Ronnie and Virginia Burgiss of Phoenix, AZ; sister: Kaye McDaniel and her husband David of Tellico Plains; brother: Donald Burgiss and his wife Loretta of Cleveland, John Burgiss of Cleveland and Tony Burgiss of Cleveland; step brothers: Billy Trentham, Curtis Trentham and his wife Kristi all of Cleveland; step sisters: Debbie Case and her husband Billy, Linda Whitted and her husband Ralph all of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews, one great niece, two great nephews, one very special aunt: Margaret Farmer also survive.

The Remembrance of Life Services will be Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Reverend Johnny Underwood officiating. Interment will follow in the Center Point Baptist Church Cemetery at Charleston with Johnny Burgiss, Donald Burgiss, Tony Burgiss, Curtis Trentham, Cody Burgiss, Whitney Burgiss, Randy Hooker and David McDaniel serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends' from 6:00 until 9:00 PM Monday, May 2, 2011 from the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of arrangements.
