Watertown High student

WATERTOWN Miss Brieanna Rose Antonio, 15, of 258 Middlebury Road, died from injuries sustained in a snowmobiling accident in Vermont. She was the daughter of Jeffrey and Pamela (Palomba) Antonio of Watertown.

Brieanna Rose was born in Waterbury on July 17, 1994. She attended John Trumbull Primary School, Judson Grammar School, Heminway Park School, and graduated from Swift Middle School. She was presently a sophomore and vice president of Watertown High School, class of 2012. She received several Presidential Academic Awards and Superintendent Awards prior to high school. She was a bright, intelligent and cheerful student who was achieving high grades which would have made her a high honors student come junior year. She took private piano lessons and played piano at several school functions as well as at home.

Brieanna Rose had a strong passion for dance. She started when she was4 years old and was presently enrolled in the Reach the Stars Dance Studio in Terryville. She competed in dance competitions, having won several awards. Her future ambition was to become a pediatric oncologist. She was volunteering many hours of community service and organizing fund raisers for pediatric oncology. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Loreto Church and a devout Catholic. She volunteered annually at Vacation Bible School in Watertown. She loved the outdoors, especially camping and going to the beach. Brieanna had a contagious, exuberant smile, and beautiful sparkling eyes that lit up a room. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She had a positive attitude toward life which was proof by her favorite expression, "Don't be mad, they really didn't mean it."

Besides her parents, she leaves a brother, Nathen J. Antonio of Watertown; her paternal grandparents, George and Helene Antonio of Watertown; her maternal grandparents, Antoinette Palomba of Oakville and the late Pasquale Palomba; her aunts and uncles, James Palomba Sr. of Waterbury, George Antonio Jr., Laura and Randall Rock of Watertown, Gayle and Christopher Nelson of Oakville; her aunt and uncle, godparents AnnMarie and James Reeser of Oakville; cousins, Megan Palomba, James Palomba Jr., Kimberly Rock, Marisa Reeser, Jenna Reeser, Hailey Reeser and John Reeser; several great aunts and great uncles; and a host of friends.

Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Loreto Church. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury.
