Mrs. Madeline E. Belanger

WOLCOTT — Madeline E. (Laferriere) Belanger, 87, of Wolf Hill Road, died Friday, April 6, 2007, at Saint Mary's Hospital. She was the widow of Louis Belanger.
Mrs. Belanger was the last of eleven children and was born Oct. 1, 1919, in Ft. Kent, Maine, daughter of the late Honore and Philonese (Charette) Laferriere. She retired in 1985 from Saint Mary's Hospital after 17 years of service. She had been a longtime member of St. Anne Church, Waterbury, until she moved to Wolcott in 1990, where she became a member of St. Pius X Church. She was known for her strong faith and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry Belanger and his wife, Irmgard, of Oakville and Michael Belanger of Waterbury; four grandchildren, Stephen and Marc Belanger, Jason Palomba and Danielle Silva; six great-grandchildren; and her son-in-law, Richard Palomba, who was predeceased by his wife, Brenda (Belanger) Palomba.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, to St. Pius X Church for a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm.
