John's gravestone is up on the top of the hill to the left of the driveway. The stone has fallen and is broken and covered partially with grass. It is to the left of his first wife's grave; her parents are to the right of her.(6/16/98)
He was the son of Rev. John and Mary Fish Noyes and great grandson of Rev.James Noyes,II and Dorothy Stanton Noyes.
He graduated from Yale in 1779 and was ordained a pastor that same year at Northfield(now Norfield) in Weston,CT.
He married his second wife, Fanny Swan, October 16, 1827. When he died at age 84, he left 7 sons and 2 daughters.

In 2016, he remains the longest serving minister at Norfield Church in Weston, CT., 1786-1836. He was ordained under Rev. Samuel Sherwood ca. 1780.
