Mr. Adkins was born September 22, 1966 in Dover, DE, the son of the late Oscar Waters and Edith Adkins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Adkins; and 2 nephews, Kenji and Damian Adkins.
He is survived by 3 children, Jordan, Steven, and Jared Adkins; his lifetime partner, Karen Ely; and 4 sisters, Vivian, Emma, Sharon, and Janell Adkins.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 from 9 to 11 am at the First Pilgrim Baptist Church, located at 27 S. Caesar Rodney Ave., in Camden, DE. Funeral services will begin at 11 am. Burial will follow in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery in Frederica, DE.
