Lloyd died November 14, 2015 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck.
Lloyd C., son of Arthur and Mollie (Kosanke) Krueger was born March 14, 1931 on the family homestead west of Fredonia in Logan County, ND. He grew up on the family farm and attended country school. He worked on the family farm.
Lloyd was united in marriage to Esther Lieske on April 13, 1953 at Ashley, just before he entered the military serving with the United States Army. He served in Korea for one year as a military policeman. He returned to Fredonia following an honorable discharge and they began farming two miles west of Fredonia where they were general farmers raising small grains and livestock. They had farmed for 38 years when he suffered a stroke which caused him to retire. In 1999, they moved into Ashley.
Lloyd enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching wildlife, especially birds. He liked to watch the activity on Main Street in Ashley. Lloyd and Esther loved traveling and spending winters down south with their camper.
Lloyd was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a 50 year plus member of Fredonia American Legion Post #260.
Grateful for having shared Lloyd’s life are his wife, Esther; two daughters, Jeanney Wright and Sonya (Steven) Schnabel; brother, Charles (Myrna) Krueger; sister, Betty Brosz; six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sandra and sister, Marjorie Golin.
