MaryLou McDonough was born January 5, 1944 in Jamestown, ND, the daughter of Wilbur and Evelyn (Biever) McDonough. She was raised and attended school in Jamestown, graduating from Jamestown High School in 1963. Following her graduation she worked at White Drug in Jamestown. In 1968, she married Gerald Clemens in Aberdeen, SD and they settled in Jamestown. After her children were grown, she worked at Lil's Continental Room, currently the Continental Bistro and was instrumental in starting and working at the 20 Below Club along with Joyce Diede, Carol Hilgemann and Cory Trautman.
MaryLou was a member of St. James Basilica and was a very active volunteer at Franklin School while her children attended there. She was very involved with the Franklin PTA and served as a Library Aide. She also volunteered with the American Cancer Society. She loved people, especially working with young people.
Survivors include 4 daughters: Rhona (Jamaal) McCoy, Las Vegas, NV; Trista Murphy, Wausau, WI; Kirstin (Joel) Mickelson, Jamesotwn, ND; Migon (Jon) Stoll, Chippewa Falls, WI; 7 grandchildren: Naya McCoy, Brogan and Breckyn Windeshausen, Brielle Murphy, Brooklinn and Renner Stoll, Lochlynn Mickelson and a sister, Joanne Kunz, Jamestown, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Patrick and a sister, Nancy Kay.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2009 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown, ND.
Prayer Service: 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2009 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown, ND.
Visitation: 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Lisko Funeral Chapel and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, ND at a later date.
