Tillie L. Agena, 91, Wymore, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at the Wymore Good Samaritan Center. She was born June 8, 1913, on a farm northeast of Pickrell, where she spent her childhood. She married Willm "Bill" Agena on March 30, 1937, at Zion Lutheran Church, Pickrell. They lived at Blue Springs until 1965 and then moved to Wymore. She was employed at the Beatrice State Developmental Center until her retirement. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid of the church at Wymore. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, reading, flower gardening, playing cards and visiting with her friends.
Survivors: daughters, Darlene Mora and husband Jon of Lincoln, Evelyn Starnes and special friend John of Greenville, Tenn., grandchildren, Bradley Runge and wife Jennifer, Brian Runge, all of Lincoln, Ronnie Starnes and special friend Dee, and Terry Gregg and husband Jeff, all of Greenville, Tenn.; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruno and Gretzke (Ackerman) Buhr; her husband, Willm "Bill" Agena (July 11, 1991); and by four sisters and two brothers.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday, March 5, St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 10th and E streets, Wymore, Pastor Tyler Hauptmeier officiating. Burial: Wymore Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home, 505 N. Ninth St., Wymore, after 5 p.m. Thursday until 11:30 a.m. Saturday, and at the church one hour preceding the service. Memorials to the church with Clarence and Elaine Oltmans in charge. Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home, Wymore, in charge of arrangements.
