World War II US Army Veteran. He enlisted in the Army on December 8, 1943 at Denver, Colorado and during his training he earned sharp shooting medals for machine gun, rifle and carbine. He served in the 379th Infantry Regiment, 95th Infantry Division, 3rd Army and was killed in action in the battle for the Roer River, Germany. His Brother Private Leonard C. Medlock, US Army, made the supreme sacrifice in the battle for Ryukyu Island, campaign of Okinawa against the Japanese on May 17, 1945.
