Ferdinand Fritz, 72, died last evening at his home in Cedar township near Poole, Nebraska. Ferdinand, son of Ferdinand August and Wihelmine (Lobpar) Boker Fritz, was born in Fuertensee, Pomerania, Germany 4 March 1863 and was baptized on 8 March1865 in the Parish of Fuerstensee. Ferdinand first settled in Rudolph County, Illinois before coming to Nebraska.

Ferdinand and Louisa Clara "Lizzie" Heider were married in Thayer County, Nebraska February 2, 1897. They were the parents of August, Herman, Emil, William, Johanna Bertha Ann, Alma, and Arthur. The family has resided in Poole area for approximately thirty -five years where they engaged in farming. Ferdinand had been in ill health for several months before his death.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at two-thirty, from the St. John's German Lutheran church in that community, with the Rev. D. E. Scheer in charge. Interment will be made in the Fiedler (St. John's) cemetery.

Surviving are Mrs. Louisa Fritz and three children: Emil Fritz, Kearney; August Fritz, Poole, and Mrs. Johanna Bertha (William) Schmidt, Poole.
