Theresa M. Armatys, formerly of Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at Tiffany Square, Grand Island, Nebraska. Theresa, daughter of John J. and Mary (Swantek) Ziemba was born on August 6, 1930 on a farm near Genoa Nebraska.

Theresa received her education in the Genoa, Nebraska area. She was married on January 8, 1952 to Stanley A. "Bud" Armatys at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Krakow in rural Nance County, Nebraska. The couple lived their entire married life southwest of Cedar Rapids, Nebraska.

Theresa is survived by: daughters, Joyce Braband and husband Douglas of Cedar Rapids, Nebraska and Jane Batenhorst and husband Bernard of Grand Island, Nebraska; grandchildren, Jill (Braband) Stohs and husband Brett and Scott Braband and wife Kandyce; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Phoebe, Kymberlyn, Charlotte and Cassidy; sisters, Loretta Snell and husband Louis of Omaha, Nebrska; Helen Munson of Genoa, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Francis Ziemba of Albion, Nebraska; brother-in-law Edmund Armatys of Tiffany Square Care Center, Grand Island, Nebraska; sister-in-law Leona Armatys of Cedar Rapids, Nebraska and a host of family and whiskey.

Theresa was preceded in death by: husband Stanley A. "Bud" Armatys; parents; 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

Interment was inSt. Anthony's Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, Nebraska.
