Charles Allbee was born in Fremont County, Iowa, June 5, 1881, and after one day's illness passed away at the Brodstone Hospital in Superior, on August 2, 1945 his age being 64 years, 1 month and 28 days.
On March 2, 1910 he was united in marriage with Maggie Skinner of Glenwood, Iowa. They went at once to Jewell County, Kansas, where they lived for a year. They then moved to Nuckolls County, Nebraska, to his parents' farm, where they resided 5 years, after which they mved (sic) to their present home in Nora, Nebr., where they resided for 29 years. He was a faithful companion always interested in his home and in the beterment (sic) of the community in which he lived.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Maggie, one brother Alan of Council Bluffs, Iowa three sisters: Cynthia Gardner of Chicago, Ills., Cora Hammer of Glenwood, Iowa; May McKeown of Webber, Kansas; a number of nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
The funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, August 5, at the Klawitter Chapel in Nelson. Rev. Jas. H. Fowler preached the sermon using as his text John 14-2, "I go to prepare a place for you." Mrs. Wilbur Portwood and Mrs. Ross Clem sang.
