Geo. W. Adroan (sic) was born at the home of his parents in Stockport, Ohio, September 17, 1856, and died at his home in Nora, Nebraska, May 11, 1929, at the age of 72 years, 7 months and 24 days.
As a young man he came to Iowa where he met and married Martha Matson October 14, 1880, and in a short time they came on further west to the prairies of Nebraska, where they together faced and conquered the many hardships and discouragements of home-making in those early years. Nine children came to bless their home, all of whom were present at the funeral services. The loving wife preceded him in death about ten years.
Mr. Adrian was a member of the Nora Methodist church and tried always to live the Christian life in such a way that his life might be an inspiration and help to his children and all those who knew him. He was a devoted husband and father and was always ready to sacrifice for the comfort and happiness of others.
Besides the immediate family he leaves many relatives and friends to mourn his death.
Goodbye, dear father, rest in peace,
Your labors now are o'er--
Beyond the clouds, beyond the stars,
You've reached the golden shore.
