OBITUARY for Calvin Morse:

Calvin Morse Died
June 23rd, 1889 near Holstein, Adams county, Neb., Mr. Calvin Morse, aged 44 years 3 months and 18 days. Mr. Morse leaves a wife and two children to mourn his loss and also three sisters, and three brothers, who reside in Iowa.

No more we see thy welcomed smile.
No more thy voice we hear,
For thou art gone forever
From this world, of pain and care.
But we will never forget thee,
And oft with teardimmed eyes
We'll mourn 'n grief and sadness
Those broken ties.
And yet again we hope to meet thee,
When lifes toilsome journey is o'er,
And there with joy and love to greet thee,
On that bright eternal shore.
L.J.

[The author of the above poem is presumed to be Lucette (Morse) Jackson one of his sisters.]
