|Birth: ||Jun. 8, 1878|
|Death: ||Apr. 1, 1902|
From a 1902 Nance County, Nebraska, newspaper clipping file, publication date unknown, transcribed by Linda Berney:
After a lingering illness, Harvey Agnew is dead. His health was never rugged, and a few years ago he developed symptoms of consumption. For a year past he has been gradually failing and for six months past, the decline was rapid.
Nothing that medical skill could suggest was omitted in the efforts in check the progress of the disease, but it was all in vain. For several weeks past he has been bedfast and Tuesday afternoon death released him from his suffering.
Harvey Agnew has lived most of his life in Central City and is well known here.
His death in early manhood seems sad indeed. On the day of his death he was 23 years, 9 months and 4 days old. Funeral services will be held this afternoon (Thursday) at 1:30 at the residence and 2:30 at the M. E. church.
