SIster Adjuta was professed as a Poor Sister of St. Francis Seraph in 1894 while living in Germany. She emigrated to the United States in 1895 and was assigned to the motherhouse in Lafayette, Indiana. She was there for a year and was then sent to Denver. She remained in Denver until 1906 when she began nurses training. She was sent to Grand Island and was there until 1931 when she was sent to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln.
