Funeral services for Cpl. Richard E. Anderson USMC were Monday at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Chapel with Dr. Robert L. Townsend officiating. Mrs. Walter Sittner and Mrs. Marshall Krieger provided vocal music and Mrs. George Witt was organist. Members of the U.S. Marines were pallbearers. Burial was in the Blue Valley cemetery, Ayr, with military rites at graveside. Members of the color guard were Charles Snell, Raymond Riese, Glen Gangwish and Walter Katzberg. Members of the firing squad were J. Consbruck, Rex Weseman, Royal Reis, Gerald Hemberger and Darrell Heurtz. Don Consbruck was chaplain and Norman Krebs was bugler.

Funeral services for Cpl. Richard E. Anderson, 20, of Juniata will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Brand-Wilson Chapel. Dr. Robert Townsend will officiate.
Military graveside rites and burial will be in Blue Valley cemetery.
Anderson was killed early Thursday morning in a one-vehicle accident on a county road about three miles east of Kenesaw.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Anderson of Juniata; mother, Mrs. Viola Miller of Denver; two brothers, Jeff of Hastings and David of Juniata; two sisters, Kacey of Hastings and Patty of Juniata; stepsister, Robin of Juniata; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Anderson of Blue Hill, Mr. and Mrs. Estel Crabtree of Wood Lake, Mich., and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stromer of Juniata.
Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church, Juniata.
