Andrew Goop, who had lived on a farm west of Creighton for a number of years, dropped dead in the hay field last Friday, while pitching hay on a rack.
Mr. Goop was in excellent health and ate a hearty dinner. Jacob Reimers was working with Mr. Goop and says that he never uttered a word after he fell to the ground.
Coroner Bates held an inquest the same afternoon of Mr. Goop's death.
Mr. Goop was a batchelor and was well thought of by his neighbors.
The funeral was held at the Olcott church Saturday at 2 o'clock, Rev. Markley preaching the sermon. The remains were interred in the Olcott cemetery.
The deceased has a brother in Switzerland.
