The text of Edward's obituary as published in The Press (Friday, February 22, 1974, p.12) reads:
Cardiff - Edward Bell, Jr., 34, of 449 Ridge Avenue died Thursday in Shore Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Atlantic City, he was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Atlantic City High School and for 10 years was office manager for Fedway Associates, Incorporated.
Surviving are his wife, Jo-Ann; a son, Edward III and a daughter, Lisa Jo-Ann, both at home; his parents, Edward and Dorothy Bell of Cardiff; two sisters, Miss Janyce Bell of Linwood and Miss Judith Ann Bell of Cardiff; a brother, Lester of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; and a maternal grandmother, Mrs. Lena Pincus of Cardiff.
