She sang with a succession of touring opera companies and in February 1890 she made her New York debut at Niblo's Garden in "The King's Fool." She was said to be for a time the highest paid performer on the American variety stage. Although she was married to Jacob David Levy, she went by the name of Della May Fox and is buried in the Fox family lot in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
