Grace Jewell Lincoln Bunch was born Oct. 15, 1917 in St. Francis County, Ark.and passed away on Feb. 20, 2010.

She was educated at Forest City High School, Ark., and the University of Arkansas where she received a Masters Degree in Economics.

She was employed by the State of Arkansas as a County Agent until marrying Joel A. Bunch of Fayetteville, Ark.

After her husband, a B- 17 pilot shot down over Germany, became a prisoner of war she worked at McDonald Douglas Aircraft in Tulsa, Okla. There she was recognized for selling more war bonds than any employee and was appointed director of the Red Cross Operations for the plant.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Major Joel A. Bunch, father Coy A. Lincoln, mother Nona Bazzell Lincoln of Bossier City, sister Virginia Lincoln Fick of Jacksonville, Ark., and son Joel Bunch II of Indianapolis, Ind. She is survived by son William Lincoln "Bill" Bunch and wife Kim of Boulder, Colo.; grandchildren; Sarah Hans of Tampa, Fla., Hannah Bair of Punta Gorda, Fla., Wyatt Bunch of Townsend, Tenn.; Nick Bunch of Palalwalto Calif.; Chris Bunch of Boulder, Colo.; and Ben Bunch of Chicago Ill. and five great-grand children, brother, C. A. Lincoln and wife Bobbie, and nephews Barry and Craig Lincoln.

During her marriage of 58 years, she operated small businesses but her biggest responsibility was serving as wife of 40 & 8 Correspondent National, Joel Bunch, for over 21 years. Their service to the 40 & 8 and the American Legion required extensive travel throughout the United States and other countries making friend everywhere they went. Grace was a caring and giving person possessing a great love for children. Grace will be laid to rest with her husband at Rose Neath Cemetery on Swan Lake Road in Bossier City. Services will be at the Cemetery at 10 a.m., Wednesday Feb. 24.
