Funeral services were held in Bemidji Oct 23 for Phyllis Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Davis of Eckles township. Phyllis was injured while playing at school on Sept 29 and was taken to the hospital in Bemidji. An x-ray examination revealed that the ligiments around the ankle joing were torn loose. Infection set in, which the doctors were unable to control, finally causing her death. Phillis died Oct 20 at the age of seven years and 16 days and was buried in the cemetery in Northern township. The fuenral services were held in the Seventh Day ADventist church where a large number of sorrowing shcool mates, friends, neighbors and relatives, gathered to pay their last respects.
Surviving besides her parents are a sister, Barbara, and three brothers, Donald, George and Kenneth. Interment was made in the cemetery at Northern Township.
