MRS. ELIZA BLACKMER
Mrs. Eliza Blackmer, age 64, of 701 Murphy Lake Road, Mayville, died suddenly at her home on Monday, April 8, 1968.
Mrs. Blackmer was born Aug. 23, 1903 at Marlette, the daughter of Thomas and Maude Bradley. She married Ernest Blackmer March 10, 1922 in Silverwood and he preceded her in death Nov. 13, 1948. She has spent her lifetime in this area.
Surviving Mrs. Blackmer are 6 sons, James and Theodore of Mayville, Martin and Clarence of Merritt Island, Fla., Edwin of Otter Lake and Lee of Vassar; 3 daughters, Mrs. June Strasburg of Fostoria, Mrs. Hulda Freeland of Lapeer and Mrs. Mary Luskey of Flint; 5 sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Hillman and Mrs. Mary Hardy of Flint, Mrs. Margaret LaPeer of Afton, Mrs. Hazel King of Otisville, and Mrs. Edith Detzler of West Branch; 4 brothers, Lewis Bradley of Prescott, Ariz., James Bradley of West Branch, George Bradley of Bay City, and Robert Bradley of Boyne City; 34 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 11 (today) at the Blackmore and Tubbs Funeral Chapel. Rev. John Manning will officiate and burial will be at Rich Cemetery.
