Son of Dr. Howard Dale Tuttle and Jean E., "Tuffy" grew up in Wagoner Oklahoma. Jerry Dean Tuttle born 16 Dec 1959, died in a vehicle accident in Lyman, Wyoming 30 Oct 2003 His grave is near his parents in Elmwood Cemetery, Wagoner, Oklahoma. His paternal grandparents in Hindsboro IL, Wm.A."Bert" Tuttle (1885-1968) and Emma E. Hanks Tuttle (1886-1978), had 13 grandchildren, and "Tuffy" was the first death of any of them, although he was one of the youngest. His older brother Larry Dale Tuttle and sister Holly Ann Tuttle Fourmy, in Arkansas, still survive as of 2012, as do other family members.
