Virgil B. Campbell, 64, 2353 Seneca Drive, died yesterday at 12:30 p.m. at the King's Daughters' Hospital.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Madison. He retired from the Barber Grocery Co. in 1975 and was a member of the North Madison Methodist Church, of the Masonic Lodge, of the Shriners, Scottish Rite, the Elks Lodge, the Moose Lodge, and was past president of the Madison Country Club.
Surviving are his wife, Eulena Coffey Campbell, two sons, Don P., Covington, Ind., and James E., Tuscon, Ariz.; tow daughters, Mrs. Karen Grills, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Miss Michele Carpenter, Tamarac, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, one niece, and one nephew. He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Friends may call tomorrow from 2 to 9 p.m. Elks Lodge services will be at 7 p.m. tomorrow, and Masonic services will be at 7:30 p.m.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Jefferson County Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
