She was born April 1, 1919 at Richfield RR1, a daughter of the late Alley and Susie Troup. She was married for 59 years to Ernest Daniel Swartz, who died in 1991.
Mrs. Swartz was of the Lutheran faith. She enjoyed gardening and raising poultry.
Surviving are four daughters, Alberta J. Gearhart of Richfield RR1, Betty A. Spriggle of Mount Pleasant Mills, Donna L. J. Swartz of Richfield and Shelby C. Robison of Lewistown; three sons, Raymond O. and Orville E., both of Richfield RR1, and Jimmy R. of McAlisterville RR1; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great- grandchildren.
Mrs. Swartz was preceded in death by one son, Harold D. Swartz, in 1972, and one sister, Annie Willow.
The funeral was conducted Wednesday, June 18, at Hummel Funeral Home, Middleburg, by Pastor Enos M. Shelley and Pastor Raymond Troyer. Burial was in St. Peter's Cemetery, Millerstown RR2.
