Friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. with a Masonic Service Wednesday evening, at 7:30 pm. by Jesse L. Cooley Lodge. Funeral Services there, Thursday, at 11 am. the Rev. J. Edward Sale officiating. Interment, Woodlawn Cemetery.
Survived by wife, Mary M. Beebe: daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine and Ronald Dunn of Elmira; grandchildren, Lorrie Ann Frutchey and Gerard Devine of New York City, Mary Alice and Ross Eckert of Lakeview, NY, Michele and Gary Rudy of Horseheads, Cathy and Nicholas Clemens of Jeannette, PA; great-grandchildren, Kevin and Daniel Eckert, Jamie Marie Rudy, Hope, John and Ernest Clemens; brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Marie Beebe of Big Flats; sister, Winifred Pulver of Beaver Dams, NY; dear friends, Lynne Swain and Jack Frutchey; several nieces and nephews. George was a member of the Lake St. Presbyterian Church; the Jesse L. Cooley Lodge #966 F.&A.M; Elmira Chapter 42 R.A.M.; the Elmira Heights Legion Post #154; U.S. Army Veteran of WW 1. He retired as a superintending Engineer from the Elmira Post Office.
