Rachel A. Gilchrist, wife of Alexander Zaring, died at her home in the southwestern part of the city Monday morning, from bronchitis. She had been in ill health for three for four years. Mrs. Zaring was born in Westmoreland county, Pennsylvania, Nov. 27th, 1840, and grew to womanhood there. She married to Dr. J. C.. McMunn, who died in 1871. Two children were born of this marriage, Mrs. L. A. Stanford and Mrs. Ira Miller, both of whom reside in this county. She was married to Mr. Zaring in the this city about ten years ago. Deceased had been a resident of Fairfield about twenty-three years, and during tht time had formed a wide circle of acqquaintance. There are many friends who knew her and esteemd her for womanly and neighborly excellences. Mrs. Zaring had been a member of the Free Methodist church for many years. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. L. Mendenhall, were held this morning.
