On Monday morning at 5:45 o'clock Arthur Houser passed away at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D.L.Houser, 1522 Story Street. The deceased had been an invalid for years, being a cripple since he was nine years of age. Death was caused from Bright's disease, he having been a constant sufferer for months, bearing it with the utmost fortitude and resignation. He was born in Colfax Township in June, 1877, being twenty two years of age. There he resided until about five years ago when he removed to this city with his parents. For a time he followed the Cigar maker's trade but ill health forced him to desist. Besides a kind father and loving mother he leaves a brother, Edgar, and sister, Mrs. Lewis Smith of Joliet, Ill. All were present at the funeral which was held Wednesday morning at eleven o'clock services being conducted by Rev. L.B. Wickersham. Interment was in the Clark cemetery, a few miles east of Luther.
