Marion L. Blaison, 84, formerly of Newburgh, NY, passed away Sunday evening, October 14, 2012, at the Ideal Nursing Center. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, James A. Blaison Sr.; a son, James A. Blaison Jr.; and a daughter, Patricia Blaison; three brothers, Ellsworth, William, and Harlem Sarvis; one sister, Anna Marie Sarvis. She is survived by her children, Jacqueline and Gordon Conklin, Newburgh, Mary Ann Blaison, Trumansburg, Dawn Patterson and Kerry Edick, Endicott, Kenneth and Wendy Blaison, Endicott, Laura Lee Blaison, Trumansburg; also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, George Sarvis; and a sister, Joan Sarvis, all of Newburgh; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Marion was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed by her family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, Thursday at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 2 p.m. until time of services.
