Betty Jo "Mim" Foley, of Hanover, PA, passed peacefully from this life October 25, 2012. She was the wife of Thomas Edward Foley, Sr., who died September 16, 1990.
Born December 24, 1930, in Knoxville, TN, she was a daughter of the late Vernon and Gladys (Seavers) Baker.
Betty Jo was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Her survivors include a daughter, Karen R. Shirey and husband, Bruce of Hanover; son, Kenneth G. Foley of Chattanooga, TN; sister, Bobbi J. Cruger of Poughkepsie, NY; sister-in-law, Erma Ruth Baker of Chattanooga; longtime companion, Roy Oscar Warner of Hanover; seven grandchildren, Stacy Dyan Lowe, Stephen D. "Jay" Jackson, Jr., Melissa Foley, Carolyn Grace Hepler, Aubrey Erin Foley, Ian Conner Foley, and Bruce J. Shirey, Jr.; and six great-grandchildren.
Betty Jo was preceded in death by a son, Thomas E. "Buddy" Foley, Jr., and a brother, Kenneth E. "Joe" Baker.
A service to celebrate the life of Betty Jo will be held 12 noon, October 31, 2012, at the Turner Funeral Home, Chattanooga, TN. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery, Chattanooga.
