Matthew Bright Is Buried Today

Was Son Of Former Congressman From Fayetteville, Tenn.


FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 3 - Funeral services for Matthew M. Bright, 82, former Fayetteville attorney, who died at his home here yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, following a week's illness of a heart ailment, were conducted today at 3:30 p.m. from Higgins Brothers funeral home.

The Rev. W. Taylor Clarke, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, of which he was a member. officiated. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

A native of Fayetteville, Mr. Bright was the son of the late General John M. Bright, congressman from this district, and Mrs. Guilda Buckner Bright, and the last member of his father's family.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Virginia Burnham Bright, to whom he was married in 1911.
