ALBANY--Albany resident David D. Philebaum, died Tuesday morning in Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. He was 66 years if age.
Born in Hartford City on May 29, 1937, he was the son of Glen and Dorothy Philebaum. Mr. Philebaum was a graduate of Albany High School. He served in the United States Army during peacetime and was a retired Delco employee where he worked as a maintenance electrician for 13 years. Mr. Philebaum attended Agape Ministries in Muncie, and Rejoice Ministries in Albany. He was a member of Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship International.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 47 years, Rosalie Philebaum; two sons, Jonathon Philebaum (wife-Joann), Yuba City, CA, and Aaron Philebaum, Avon; a daughter, Susan D. Pippen, Muncie; his grandkids, Chelsea Philebaum, Johnny Morgan Philebaum, Vanessa Hatton, Dakota Philebaum, Haley Philebaum, and McKenzie Philebaum; three nephews, Harold David Philebaum (wife-Brenda), Yorktown, Kenny Philebaum (wife-Connie), Florida, and Patrick McKillip (wife-Nancy), Muncie; three nieces, Helen Stephenson (husband-John), Albanyu, Nancy Chadwick (husband-Larry), Utah, and Kathy Ritchie (husband-Jim), Michigan; and his mother-in-law, Rosa Justice, Muncie.
Mr. Philebaum has been preceded in death by his parents; a son, David Michael Philebaum; a brother, Harold Philebaum; a sister, Doris McKillip; and a nephew, Steve Burris.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 9, 2004 in Parson-Rust Funeral Home, Albany, by Pastor Myron Oyler. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie, with military rites provided by Veterans of Delaware County Honor Guard. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. until one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home.
