Margaret was the daughter of James and Grace (Foster) Martin. James evidently died soon after Margaret's birth and Grace married John Calderwood on Feb. 1, 1897 in Marion County, Indiana. The 1900 Census shows Margeret Martin (age 9, born in Indiana in Oct. 1890) living in Center Township, Marion County, Indiana with step-father Jno D. Calderwood and mother Grace Calderwood and siblings Jessie M. Martin (age 19), Willie Martin (age 18), James F. Martin (age 16) and Bessie Martin (age 12). The 1910 Census shows Marguriet Martin (age 19) living in Indianapolis with her mother, Grace Calderwood, and siblings Jessie, James and Bessie. Margaret married Walter Landreth in Marion County, Indiana on June 4, 1919.

Herrman Madison Avenue Funeral Home with burial in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery at Lizton.
