POTTSVILLE -- Viola M. Seltzer Freed, 89, of Schuylkill Manor, formerly of 605 E. Market St. died Monday in Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.

She was a former secretary for the Postal Service, a graduate of Pottsville High School and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and many of its circles.

She was the widow of Irvin V. Freed. Surviving are a son, Dr. William R. of Mechanicsburg; two sisters, Ruth Schuettler and Emma L. Hale, and a brother, Jack Seltzer, all of Pottsville; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
