Annalie V. "Ann" McCammon was known as Ann, Mom, Momer, Nanie and Mother to most of us who knew her and loved her. She passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, in Sherwood.
She was born March 26, 1926, in Westville, Okla. Her parents, who preceded her in death, were Fred and Anna Cobb.

She was a "P.K.," a preacher's kid. Her father, Fred H. Cobb was an ordained Baptist minister. She accepted Christ as her personal savior at the age of 7 years old. She and her husband, James Allen McCammon, taught junior 12 Sunday school class together. She, by the grace of God, was able to lead one little 12-year-old boy to Jesus who came back and told her when he became an adult. She loved the Scottish Rite Masons and worked for them for 27 1/2 years as secretary, before retiring. She was a Rainbow Girl and a member of the Eastern Star, where she was appointed deputy grand lecturer in Arkansas in 1972. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Smith, a member of Credit Women's International and Sebastian County Democratic Women's Club.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Vivian Yoes; two brothers, Wendell and Freddy Cobb; a son, Mark Candler McCammon; and her husband, James Allen McCammon.

She is survived by her two sons, Allen L. McCammon and his wife Linda of Sherwood and Dr. Gordon F. McCammon of Nashville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Kevin, Zachary and Lain McCammon; and three great-grandchildren, Kaillee, Hampton and Kennedy McCammon.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.

Pallbearers will be Kevin McCammon, Zachary McCammon, Lain McCammon, Kyle Graham, Randy Amons, Randy Cutting and Dr. Michael Liggett.
