Jimmy Owenby, age 67, of Newport, passed away Wednesday 24, 2010 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Swan and Ella Mae Owenby. He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Owenby of Newport; daughters, Lisa Owenby of Johnson City, Jaime Owenby of Newport; stepson Kevin Gregg of Newport; brother, Swan Ray Owenby of Newport ; and sister Glennie Kate Huff of Cosby; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Friday, November 26, 2010 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Ed Frazier officiating. Burial will be 11:00 am Saturday, November 27, 2010 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral.
