MISS INGA LARSON SUCCUMBS AFTER A SHORT ILLNESS - Funeral Services held on Monday (11/30/1936) morning - had resided in County since 1881 and leaves one brother The death of Miss Inga Larson, esteemed resident of this community for many years occurred on Friday (11/27/1936) afternoon after a short illness. She had been in failing health for a number of years, but her condition became serious a few days before her demise, when she became critically ill. Miss Alfa Olson, trained nurse, her nephew and his wife, Mr. & Mrs. Albert Larson, who had resided with her the last year and looked after her care, following the death of her brother Enoch for whom Miss Larson kept house for many years. Enoch and John Larson preceded their sister in death within the last 13 months. A sister, Mrs. L. Johnson died eight years ago, and there is left one brother, Peter. Inga Charlotte Larson was born April 11, 1859 at Buseryd, Smaland, Sweden. With her parents she came to the United States in 1881. They located in Aitkin county, where Miss Larson had resided since, except for a few years spent in Minneapolis, where she was employed. Her early home was at Rossburg. She was a faithful member of the First Lutheran Church and was identified actively with the women's work of that donomination. Of the pleasant amialgble character that has marked her family, Miss Larson was held in esteem and affection by her relatives and numberous friends. Besides her brother, she leaves a number of nieces and nephews, the children of Peter Larson and of the deceased sister, Mrs. L. Johnson. They are Elomer, Albert, Russell, Peter and Annabelle Larson of Aitkin, Miss Margaret Larson of Brainerd, Miss Baybelle and Milton Larson of Minneapolis, Fred and Enoch Johnson of Aitkin, Mrs. Emil Lorntson of Milnor, N.D. and Mrs. O. A. Oson of Palisade. The funeral of Miss Larson was held Monday morning with services at the home at 9:30 o'clock and at the church at 10 a.m., Rev. J S Benson officiating. A quartet, consiting of Mrs. E.P. Gibson, Miss Elinore Newstrom, Messrs Harry Molgren and henry Julum sang. Mrs. Hugo Heimdahl presided at the organ. Miss Newstrom sang a hymn in Swedish. Pallbearers were Messrs. Milton, Albert, Russell and Elmer Larson, Fred and Enoch Johnson. Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery.
