JOHN J. PEIRSON DIED AT HOME IN LOS ANGELES, CALIF.
Father of Mrs. F. G. Bierer of This City, Died Early This Morning
Mrs. Fred G. Bierer received word today of the death of her father, John J. Peirson, at his home on 1749 Wooske Street, Los Angeles, Calif.
Mr. Peirson, who died January 15, at 3 am, is survived by the widow Annie K. Peirson, and sons, Harry of Los Angeles, Wilferd of Riverside, Calif., and daughters Mrs. Fred G. Bierer of Murphysboro and Mrs. Lucille Gumpper of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and one great grandson.
Mr. Peirson was born at Mt. Pleasant, New York, and lived a number of years in and around Bloomington, Illinois. In 1895 he moved to Murphysboro and was engaged in the real estate and insurance business. He managed a large farm south of Murphysboro and at one time was president of the Murphysboro park district and an elder of the Presbyterian church. In 1922 he moved to California.
Mr. and Mrs. Peirson celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in Murphysboro, in 1933.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon in Los Angeles.
