Kenneth L. Phillips age 75, of the Cherry Fork community, departed this life on Monday, April 30, 2012 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born in Scott County on March 24, 1937 to the late A.Y. and Fronnie B. Newport Phillips. He was a born again Christian and a member of The Amazing Grace Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Thomas Harold Phillips

Survived by his step-mother and best friend Annie Duncan and husband James of Cherry Fork, cousin Juanell Jacob of Ohio, a special friend Arnold Phillips and wife Jennie, and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Phillips family on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Brother Bob Staten and Brother Herb Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Cecil Cemetery in the Cherry Fork Community. Lucille Smith and Bob Staten will sing.

Pallbearers will be Stevie Davis, Robbie Evans, Arthur Bowling, Jammie Bowling, James Duncan, Onel Bryant, James Edward Phillips and Jack Chitwood. Honorary pallbearers will be Arnold Phillips, Herb Smith and Eugene Duncan.

West-Murley Funeral Home is serving the family of Kenneth L. Phillips.
