Bonnie Broadaway, 64 of Morganton, passed away Friday, Oct. 5, at her home.
She was born Aug. 19, 1948 in Fannin County to Willie Nicholson and Essie Ware Nicholson. She was a member of Cornerstone Fellowship Baptist Church. Bonnie was retired from Levi's, and enjoyed canning, sewing and spending time with her special children.
She is preceded by her father Willie Nicholson and sister-in-law Joan Nicholson.
Survivors include husband James Broadaway; mother Essie Ware Nicholson; brothers Calvin (Denise) Nicholson, Bobby (Marilyn) Nicholson, Dennis Nicholson; sister Linda Anderson; great nephews and niece Austin Lance, Will Davis, Logan Davis, Jackson Davis, Courtney Davis and Carder Lance; nieces and nephews Christal Davis, Linda Gail Lance, Kevin Nicholson, Alicia Stewart, Brian Arp, Dana Cole, Jessica Stanley.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 10, with the Rev. Tulley Griggs officiating, with music provided by Renee Watkins. Interment followed in Chastain Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Logan Davis, Will Davis, Vincent Davis, Kevin Nicholson, Derrick Stewart and Carlton Chambers.
