PEORIA, IL - Joan J. Camp, 83, formerly of 1117 W. Willow Lane died at 5:15 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 1995, at Washington Christian Village in Washington.
Born April 27, 1912, in Peru to Ignatz and Harriet Dobzanski Grochowaski, she married Henry W. Camp on Sept. 3, 1938, in Peru. He died Nov. 24, 1992, in Peoria.
Two brothers also preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons, Robert L. of Washington, Henry J. of Jacksonville, Fla., and Delbert F. of Carmichael, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Vic (Sharon) Butkovich of Peoria and Mrs. Paul (Harriet) Camp of Littleton, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Ted (Cecilia) Karris of Bridgeview, Mrs. John (Elinor) Fussinatto of Peru and Victoria Woeckel of LaSalle; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was a salesperson for Bergner's at Sheridan Village for 16 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church, its Ladies Guild, Catholic Women's League and the Emblem Club.
She was a former teacher for the Peoria Park and Recreation Department. She was a former member of the Peoria Women's 18 Hole Golf League.
Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.
