Amie Lorene Rogers, age 89, formerly of Rensselaer, IN passed away Sunday October 21, 2012 at St Anthony Health in Crown Point, IN. She was born June 11, 1923 in Sardis, Tennessee to Emsley and Nellie Ida ( Adams) Hutton, both deceased.

On June 14, 1945 she married Rev. Glen Milton Rogers and he preceded her in death in 1992. Amie was a housewife and homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church of DeMotte. She had served for many years as a Sunday School teacher and had worked in Children's Church and the WMU's.

Amie is survived by her son, Thomas Rogers of Carlisle, IN, a daughter in law Judy Rogers of Rensselaer; grandchildren, Dawn (Matt) Stahura of MA, Chrissy Davis of Rensselaer; 2 great granddaughters Elise and Kayla Davis of Rensselaer and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Don Rogers, 2 brothers and 1 sister

Friends may call on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Jackson Funeral Service, DeMotte, IN. Funeral Services on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at Jackson Funeral Service, DeMotte, IN with Pastors Kenneth Gamblin and Duane Abston officiating. Interment at Fair Oaks Cemetery, Fair Oaks, IN.
