Francis Joseph Eibner L.L.B. on October 31, 1967 at Misericordia Hospital, beloved husband of Joy Eibner, of 140 Riverbend Crescent, age 48 years. Prayers were said on Thursday, November 2 at 8 p.m. in Barker's Funeral Chapel, 124 Donald Street. Requiem High Mass was held on Friday, November 3, at 9:00 a.m. in St. Ann's Church, St. James. Rev. Father Macauley officiated. Interment was made in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Eibner was born and educated in Winnipeg. He attended St. Edward's School and St. Paul's College. GRaduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in law in 1944. After serving during Wolrd War Two in the Royal Canadian Navy, Mr. Eibner returned to obtain his Master of Law degree, at Osgood Hall in Toronto. He was a lecturer at the Unversity of Toronto Law School, 1947-1948. A partner in the law firm of McArthur, McArthur and Eibner, a member of the board of directors of the John Howard and Elizabeth Fry Society, Manitoba president of the Society. He was a member of the Law Society of Manitoba, the Manitoba Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the Manitoba Progressive Conservative Association, the Canadian Club, the Kiwanis South Winnipeg Club. Surviving besides his wife, are his father, Mr. Edward Eibner, three sisters, Mrs. Emily Osborne, and Mrs. Margaret Alto, Winnipeg, and Mrs. Cecilia Benson, Lachine, Quebec, and two brothers, Leonard and Edward, of Winnipeg. Honorary pallbearers are Chief Justice G. R. Tristchler, C. V. McArthur, Q. C., Mr. Justice J. E. Wilson, Dr. A.A. Campbell, Judge B. R. Coleman, J. Vecchione. Active pallbearers are Mr. D. Stanes, M.L.A., Mr. D. Sloan, Mr. J. Hunter, Mr. B. McArthur, Mr. K. Howard, Mr. F. Herzberg. Flowers gratefully declined. Friends so desiring may make a donation to the Man.
