Henry A. Lauer


Henry A. Lauer, age 90 of Erie, passed away Wednesday, October 17th, 2012, at St. Mary's Home of Erie, East. He was born in Marble Pa., August 19th, 1922, a son of the late Michael and Kathryn Hufnagel Lauer.

Henry was good father and husband who will be sadly missed.

He was employed as a process engineer with Erie General Electric Company for 38 years, retiring in 1984.

Henry was a U.S. Army D-Day Veteran and during his service earned the Purple Heart, Silver Star, and Bronze Medals

His wife, Hazel J. Boyer Lauer, to whom he was married 53 years, preceded him in death on July 30, 2000.

Survivors include two sons: Michael J. Lauer of Sykesville, Md. and Douglas W. Lauer of Erie; a grandson: Aaron Lauer of Denver, Colo. and one brother: William Lauer and his wife Dorothy, of West Harford, Conn.

Friends may call at Brugger Funeral Home Wednesday, October 24th from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend services at the Funeral Home Thursday, October 25th at 1 p.m.

Entombment will follow in Mary Queen of Peace Cemetery.
