Services were held Friday, June 14 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church for Dick Henning, 67, who died June 11 at his home.

Dick George Henning was born on August 17, 1900 in Lancaster County near Crete to August and Sina (Menke) Henning. On September 23, 1900 he was baptized by Pastor G.A. Lohr. He was confirmed March 28, 1915 by Pastor John Gerike at St. John's Lutheran Church at Kramer. He later transferred to Crete Bethlehem Lutheran Church where he was a member until his death.

He was married to Vera Behrens on June 7, 1931 by Rev. J.E. Schatz at the Plymouth Congregational Church. To this union were born four children.

He spent most of his life on the farm he was born on and where he resided at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, Vera; daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Darleen) Dittmer; sons, Eldon of Lincoln, Arnold and Loren of Crete; 13 grandchildren; brother, Edward of Lincoln, and a sister, Mrs. Clara Jans of Crete.

The Rev. Paul R. Schmidt officiated at the services with burial in the Crete Riverside Cemetery.
