She was a member of the Ebenezer A.R.P. Church, She was a retired ward secretary and private duty nurse at Stonewall Jacksan Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Lambert Stuart Owens.
Survivors include three daughters and two Sons-in-law, Allena Lou Nicely, Brenda and Bill Claytor all of Lexington, Gay and Tony Bradley of Powell TN; two sons and daughters- in-law, Sidney and Vicky Nicely of Lexington, Benjamin William and Mary Helen Nicely of Fairfield; sister-in-law Agnes Sensabaugh Benson of Wayneshoro, brother-in-law Harry Grim of Staunton, the children's father and stepmother, Albert and Alice Nicely of Goshen; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A gravesjde service will be conducted at 2p.m. Thursday a Ebenezer A.R.P. Church Cemetery by the Revs. Zeb Carson Williams and Paul Burns. A memorial service will follow in the church fellowship hall.
Memorials may be made to the Rockbridge Area Hospice, P.O. Box 948, Lexington, VA 24450 or the Ebenezer A.R.P. Women of the Church.
There will be no visitation. Harrison Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
